I read To Kill a Mockingbird my sophomore year of high school and I loved it. My favorite character was Miss Maudie. And, the first time she said this in the book, I wrote it down on a piece of paper and it has stuck with me. It's kind of like the passage in the Bible that says God is there for you, do not worry about tomorrow. But either way, any kind of quote similar to this is nice to chant to yourself when you are completely angry, sad, anything.

Today wasn't the best day for me, I just wasn't happy. But this quote brought me back up, because I realized nothing lasts forever, so I can't mope over it. Get over it and a window will open for the door that just closed.
