Prince of Persia (2010) Review

This is the best Disney movie I have seen in a while. First of all, the two main characters strongly dislike each other for most of the movie. But they love each other despite the mutual loathing, in the end. There is lots of action and crazy stunts that make you go, "did he really just do that?" The story's good, keeping you wrapped up in the characters and their struggle. It has sly humor and twists that a lot of Disney movies either miss or completely blunder.

Jake Gyllenhaal surprised me with his role, and how well he played the character of Prince Dustan. Gyllenhaal brought life and creativity to Dustan. He also had on-screen chemistry with Gemma Arterton, Princess Tamina, making the romance sweet and quirky. The scenery was pretty, and all the costumes were beautiful. I have never played the video games, but I am inclined to look into them after seeing this movie. Same way with Laura Croft.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley, and Alfred Molin
